SANTA CLARA, Calif.-Glenayre Technologies Inc.’s Consumer Products Group released a wireless connectivity software developer kit for the Handspring Visor personal digital assistant platform, focused on developing two-way messaging applications for Palm operating system devices.
The SDK is part of Glenayre’s effort to promote ReFLEX two-way paging technology as the means of wirelessly enabling PDAs, allowing such applications as e-mail, information services, e-commerce, corporate database access and various vertical uses, according to the company.
Kin Seto, vice president of Weilynne Group, is leading the Preferred Developer’s Program, under which participants will get the SDK, an AccessLink II two-way pager with connectivity to Handspring’s Springboard platform, technical documentation and technical support.
