HELSINKI, Finland-Nokia Corp. announced it will provide Tele Danmark a full turnkey solution for a Global System for Mobile communications 1800 MHz network in The Netherlands.
Tele Danmark currently is working to form a partnership to create a new nationwide wireless operator in that country. Equipment deliveries will begin immediately and continue into 1999, Nokia said, which will include mobile switching centers, home location registers and a complete base station system with interconnect transmission capabilities.
Nokia’s services will include network planning, site acquisition, civil works, installation and commissioning of all network elements. The company also will maintain and support the initial operations of the system following its launch.
