ST. LOUIS-Amdocs said it enhanced its customer-care and billing platform to support local-fixed line ordering and to include a customer hierarchy facility for carriers serving the high-end business sector.
The Amdocs platform supports convergent customer-care and billing activities in multiservice fixed-line and mobile environments, including local, cellular, paging, long distance, international, cable, Internet and voice over the Internet Protocol.
“The Amdocs platform can be `sliced and diced’ to facilitate different levels of convergence,” said Norman Rafalowitz, senior vice president of international marketing for Amdocs. “At the basic level, you can implement the system to provide simple bill consolidation.
“At the high end, you can implement the system to provide one-stop customer-care and cross-service price plans for the most innovative and sophisticated carriers in the industry.”
