INTEK’S ROAMER ONE BUYING WIRELESS PLUS

NEW YORK-Intek Diversified Corp., Princeton, N.J., announced its Roamer One subsidiary signed a letter of intent to acquire Wireless Plus Inc.

Wireless Plus, headquartered in Hayword, Calif., is the state’s largest subscriber-based provider of 220 MHz wireless services. Terms of the proposed transaction were not disclosed.

With the completion of this purchase, Intek will own and/or manage more than 1,400 specialized mobile radio channels in the 220 MHz band, said Robert J. Shiver, chairman and chief executive officer.

Other recently completed Intek acquisitions include the 220 MHz systems and operations of three SMR companies: Pagers Plus Cellular Co., Walnut Creek, Calif.; Krystal Systems, Las Vegas; and American Digital Communications, Denver. These purchases added 375 channels altogether.
