Glenayre Technologies Inc. announced that it signed a contract to provide a high-speed paging network in the Heilongjiang province of China for its Posts and Telecommunications Authority.
Glenayre values the arrangement at $16.2 million.
Under terms of the agreement, Glenayre will install its advanced paging and messaging infrastructure, including multiple GL-C2000 wireless messaging switches, more than 500 VHF high speed transmitters equipped with GL-C2000 controllers and networking and management equipment.
Installation is scheduled to begin this month.
