TORONTO-Clearnet Communications Inc. said it added 11,175 subscribers to its Mike enhanced specialized mobile radio network during the third quarter, the largest quarterly addition of new subscribers since the company laulched the network last year.
The Mike network now supports 29,650 subscribers, 60 percent more than the 18,475 subscribers reported at the end of the second quarter.
Analog specialized mobile radio subscribers dropped by 1800 to 59,670 at the end of the third quarter, compared with 61,470 at the end of the second quarter.
About 2,900 analog SMR subscribers migrated to the Mike network during the quarter, said Clearnet.
