GREENBELT, Md.-Cellular One of Washington, D.C./Baltimore introduced its RSVP Piper Traveler, a product that combines a pager and an analog cellular phone.
RSVP Piper Traveler features a nationwide numeric display pager enclosed in a battery pack that attaches directly to Motorola Inc.’s Piper cellular phones. The separate RSVP pager/battery is compatible with Motorola MicroTac series personal cellular phones and uses a Bravo Encore pager.
The product offers caller ID, paging capability and cellular battery conservation, said the company. A separate battery for phone and pager means customers can be reached even when the phone is off.
