TM Forum launches 'how to' guides to virtualization

NICE, France – The move toward network virtualization was the hottest topic of the recent TM Forum Live event in Nice, France with workshops and presentations on the topic over-flowing with participants. To meet the high demand for information, TM Forum has launched a new series of “how to” guides on digitization and virtualization.
Aileen Smith, senior vice president of organizational transformation at TM Forum, said the focus of the interest has moved from high level ideas to hands-on information for implementation.
“Our members asked us this year to be laser-focused on helping them understand how to do everything to move to some very practical items rather than big picture items,” Smith said.
The new TM Forum series includes:
Transforming to a Digital Business by Jim Metzler, Ph.D., aimed at helping CEOs understand the steps for digital transformation. The guide addresses four areas: business agility and rapid innovation; operational agility and effectiveness; and customer and data centricity; and IT.
Becoming an Agile Business by Chris Lewis and Keith Willetts, looks at how companies can increase their agility, including speed of action and operational effectiveness, and improve the quality of their customer experience through key changes such as the simplification of the portfolio, processes and systems.
Frameworx: Mastering the Digital World a book by renowned information modeler John P. Reilly is aimed at chief information officers, network architects and implementers.  Reilly’s book describes how TM Forum’s Frameworx best practices and standards can be used to support the delivery, monitoring and monetization of digital services today.
The guides are available for download at TM Forum’s website.
Frameworx will be released soon on the TM Forum site. Click here for more information and to sign up to be notified of its release.
