Ranking is based on estimated gross product sales for the past 12 months. This includes wireless equipment sales revenue only, excluding activation commissions, residuals and leasing revenue.
Many agents and resellers of wireless service are not included on this list because the bulk of their revenue stream is from activation fees, residuals and carrier rebates-not equipment sales.
This is a list of independent equipment retailers. Carriers with their own direct retail channels such as Nextel Communications Inc. and Pittencrieff Communications Inc. also are excluded.
