PCSI SAYS ITS UBIQUITY SUPPORTS WINDOWS 95

SAN DIEGO-Pacific Communications Sciences Inc. said its Ubiquity Cellular Communications Systems support Microsoft’s Windows 95 operating system and off-the-shelf network applications.

Windows 95 can operate in wireless networks, including Cellular Digital Packet Data networks, as well as landline local and wide area networks, commented PCSI.

Ubiquity systems provide Windows-compatible computers with an integrated package consisting of a wireless CDPD modem, cellular circuit switched data/fax modem, cellular phone, high-speed wireline data/fax modem and wireline phone.

These systems, added PCSI, support Windows 95 with PCSI’s Windows Sockets, or WinSock interface and an internal TCP/IP protocol stack.
