LOS ANGELES-Primedia Enterprises and PowerMate Cellular announced a partnership to expand the wireless offerings from Primedia’s automotive publication Motor Trend.
The two companies will collaborate on a line of Motor Trend-branded cellular and Mp3/iPod accessories, including headsets, power adapters, cases, antennas, batteries and other accessories.
“This venture with Primedia presents a significant opportunity to create powerful affiliations between Motor Trend and the millions of consumers who remain loyal to the brand and follow its evolution into new areas of product innovation,” said Sam Esses, owner of PowerMate.
The complete line is expected to appear in automotive specialty retailers, large retailers, and drug and food stores across the country by April.
“In 2005, we launched a concerted effort to extend the value of our content through creative applications of new technology,” said Jacqueline Blum, president of Primedia Enterprises. “The line of accessories we’re launching with PowerMate allows us to build the brand’s relevance and meaning among a group of on-demand enthusiasts.”
