MIAMI LAKES, Fla.-Calypso Wireless Inc. announced two purchase orders for its C1259i Dual Mode ASNAP Wi-Fi/GSM/GPRS Voice over IP phone.
The first order is a $2.02 million purchase order from Servinova, which provides sales, service and installation for Cisco Systems Inc. products. The second order, valued at $16.2 million, comes from Inversiones CCS SA, a South American distributor.
In other news, Calypso has agreed to acquire Sleipner SA, which develops software for wireless devices. Sleipner’s COMOB software allows smart phones and personal digital assistants to switch between GSM or CDMA cellular sites and Wi-Fi access points.
