Broadcom offers new Bluetooth software to link PCs, phones

IRVINE, Calif.-Broadcom Corp. launched a new software product called Blink that simplifies the use of Bluetooth when connecting cellular phone handsets with PCs, said the company.

Bluetooth Link is a result of cooperation between Broadcom and BVRP Software International, which is now Avanquest Software. The product includes an intuitive graphical user interface that simplifies Bluetooth-related tasks by providing a graphical representation of a mobile phone on a computer screen. Once connected via a Bluetooth link, the user can operate all of the phone’s primary functions directly from the computer and drag and drop items from a computer to a cell phone.
