WOBURN, Mass.-Boston Communications Group Inc. announced it successfully implemented Signalling System 7 in support of a wireless carrier’s prepaid service offering.

SS7 is a set of protocol standards for network signaling Integrated Services Digital Network. These standards provide a means for different manufacturers of telephone equipment to connect to each other in a network.

“Since the introduction of the Boston Communications Group C2C prepaid network, there have been many requests to provide support for [SS7] protocols,” said Paul Tobin, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Boston Communications.
