KANSAS CITY, Mo.-Sony Corp.’s digital CM-Z100 personal communications service phone is now available at Sprint Spectrum L.P.’s Sprint PCS and Radio Shack stores nationwide. The phone is based on Code Division Multiple Access technology.
The Z100 weighs less than 5.3 ounces with the battery pack and has a flip down microphone arm. It has a lithium-ion battery that provides approximately 2.5 hours of continuous talk time or 24 hours of standby time.
The phone also has Jog Dial Navigator, which provides fingertip access to a menu, call history and a phone book with 99 memory locations. The Z100 has five ringer types or a silent vibration alert, and allows direct viewing of caller ID information on the open face display.
“Sprint PCS is the first personal communications service provider to offer consumers the Sony Z1000 with CDMA technology,” said Bernie Bianchino, chief business development officer.
