ARLINGTON, Va.-The Telecommunications Industry Association has published a new interim standard, Wireless Authentication Enhancements Descriptions, TIA/EIA/IS-778.
The document presents a recommended plan for implementing authentication enhancements to use in wireless radiotelephone service. It identifies authentication enhancements that should be standardized in wireless systems and explains the operation of the enhancements so a roaming wireless subscriber will be authenticated in a seamless manner, said TIA.
