MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.-Mobile wireless data management product supplier PointBase Inc. is teaming with Microware Systems Corp., an embedded real-time operating software provider, to address the emerging market for mobile wireless data applications.
The companies said they will work together to supply data management, data synchronization and operating system support for mobile wireless applications currently entering the market.
“Microware and PointBase have complementary technologies that jointly are the first to deliver everything manufacturers need to embed Java-based mobile data capabilities in their devices,” commented Bruce Scott, president and chief executive officer of PointBase. “This is a very powerful platform for developers who want to extend enterprise data out to mobile wireless devices and [personal digital assistants].”
