PASADENA, Calif.-Several companies introduced new mobility solutions at the DEMOMobile show held last week.
Unimobile.com released the Unimobile 3.0 private-label platform for text messaging, designed for wireless carriers, dot-coms or enterprises looking to extend text messaging solutions to their applications.
Unimobile 3.0 supports WAP, pagers, Palm devices and other wireless handsets with person-to-person or service-to-person text messaging.
Coola Inc. introduced a new wireless extension to its service that allows users to transfer information from any Web site or e-mail to various applications on any Palm device. The information sharing application now supports any wireless device and network, the company said. It allows users to pick what information from a Web site or e-mail is of interest to them, as well as send that information to others, such as users of mobile phones, pagers or other wireless devices.
ViaFone Inc. introduced its OneBridge Mobility Platform, a solution allowing enterprise customers to create, deploy and maintain wireless data and voice applications for mobile employees. The platform was designed to support any wireless device interface available today, as well as expected future ones, such as voice user interfaces.
LightSurf Technologies Inc. demonstrated its instant wireless digital photography technology. The solution attaches a wireless phone to a small digital camera designed by LightSurf. Once a photo is taken, the image is sent to a Web site using the wireless phone as a modem.
