HAYWARD, Calif.-In a move to offer secure wireless applications to the financial services, media, travel and wireless telecommunications industries, Wysdom Inc. announced it licensed Certicom’s Wireless Transport Layer Security Plus for its mobile applications platform.
“Certicom’s leadership in wireless enables Wysdom to provide our customers with strong security from a name that is trusted internationally,” said Peter Cauchi, Wysdom’s vice president of business development in the Internet.
In other news, Brightpod announced it will integrate Wysdom’s Mobyle Application Platform with its Ecosystem Mobility Platform in a move designed to offer desktop-to-wireless messaging in short message service-enabled devices.
Wysdom’s MAP allows for multiple carrier connectivity and can be integrated with enterprise applications, the company said.
“We are enthusiastic to be an integral part of Brightpod’s ASP offerings,” said Ian Collins, Wysdom’s chief technology officer.
