HELSINKI, Finland—Nokia has signed a US$200 million contract with Smart Communications Inc. to expand GSM networks in the Philippines.
Under the deal, Nokia will supply and install several mobile switching centers, home location registers, base station controllers, advanced Ultrasite base stations, short messaging systems and new network management systems.
