SEATTLE, United States—Starbucks confirmed that VoiceStream will pick up where MobileStar Network left off as the wireless local area network (WLAN) service provider in Starbucks’ coffee shops across North America.
Customers will be able to access the Internet using their own wirelessly enabled laptops and handheld devices.
MobileStar ceased operations in October, and approximately one month later, VoiceStream said it would acquire most of the U.S.-based company’s equipment and contracts for an undisclosed sum.
