Nokia wins GSM contract in Bermuda

HAMILTON, Bermuda—Nokia said it signed an agreement to build a GSM network for BTC Mobility of Bermuda. BTC Mobility was recently granted a GSM license to offer voice and data products and services.

The agreement includes core and radio access network equipment, as well as radio transmission, network management and GPRS packet-data systems. The GSM network includes GPRS and EDGE-ready capabilities.

BTC Mobility currently offers AMPS and TDMA service on the island.
