AUSTIN, Texas—SchlumbergerSema announced it expects North American sales of its Simera Java-enabled subscriber identity module smart card to surpass 10 million early this year.
“With the recent introduction of Removable Subscriber Module (R-UIM) Java cards for the North American CDMA market in 2002, SchlumbergerSema anticipates bringing SIM-based services to an even greater portion of the North American subscriber base,” added Edward Jacobsen, the company’s vice president of mobile communication solutions in North America.
