SAN BRUNO, Calif.—Broadband wireless company IPWireless Inc. announced it will partner with Flextronics Semiconductor to develop and manufacture the IPWireless System on a Chip (SoC).
“The SoC design will open the door for mobile hardware manufacturers to integrate our technology into existing and future mobile devices,” explained Chris Gilbert, chief executive officer of IPWireless. “Our standards-based, plug-and-play mobile broadband technology will be globally available wherever cell coverage exists and can be built into laptops and PDAs or inserted as a PC card into any device by anyone, anywhere.”
