DALLAS-Microsoft Corp.’s Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer unveiled the company’s Mobile Workplace initiative, which he said includes systems integrators such as Hewlett-Packard Services, Accenture and others and involves connecting Microsoft desktop software to wireless devices running on Microsoft’s operating systems.
The initiative covers the planning, deployment, security and device issues related to wireless access to corporate information.
“Microsoft Mobile Workplace will help customers implement these solutions quickly and easily to extend the benefits of mobile devices,” Ballmer said.
