NEW YORK-Major wireless players have complied with the Securities And Exchange Commission’s guidelines to file their certifications confirming their financial results. Foreign-based companies, who are not required to comply, however filed with the SEC under the recently signed corporate fraud law.
Motorola Inc., Qualcomm Inc., Cisco Systems Inc., Intel Corp., Lucent Technologies Inc., Texas Instruments Inc., Advanced Micro Devices, Agilent Technologies, XO Communications, IBM Corp. and Sun Microsystems Inc. have already filed their certifications.
Foreign-based Nortel Networks Ltd., Nokia Corp., LM Ericsson, Alcatel and Siemens AG filed under the corporate fraud law.
The SEC required 974 companies to file today as part of its efforts to ensure corporate responsibility in the aftermath of false financial reports from WorldCom Inc. and Enron Corp.
