ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.-Motorola Inc. said it has rolled out three new GSM base stations to complement its existing portfolio of infrastructure offerings.
The new products include the indoor macro, outdoor macro and miniBTS under the company’s Horizon II BTS solutions framework.
“All the Horizon II BTS products are GPRS and EDGE capable and have been designed to meet the evolving needs of network operators in both emerging and more mature markets” said the company.
The macro products will be introduced early next year, according to the company. The indoor macro is stackable and can be deployed in Motorola’s base station Horizon 3G. The outdoor macro can cover 12 carriers, while the miniBTS is a low-entry cost base station that can cover up to four carriers in a single cabinet footprint.
