RESTON, Va.-Broadband telecommunications services provider XO Communications Inc. announced it plans to expand its network to 12 additional markets by the end of this year.
The new markets, which include Tucson, Ariz.; Fresno and Stockton, Calif.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Jacksonville, Sarasota, St. Petersburg and Tallahassee, Fla.; Pittsburgh; Tacoma, Wash.; Richmond, Va.; and Youngstown, Ohio, will bring XO’s total markets to 72.
“We have found untapped demand in these adjacent markets and have opted for a smart growth strategy that includes both network expansion and increased sales and agent channels,” said John Curran, chief technology officer at XO. “This approach ensures that our ongoing network optimization is in alignment with the individual growth of each market.”
