BEIJING-Convergys Corp. completed its first product deployment in China. The company implemented its Infinys software for China Unicom Guangdong, a provincial operator of China Unicom Ltd. The project will work with Guangdong’s billing platform to support subscriber activation of service offerings across 17 different network element types in various cities. China Unicom offers cellular, paging, long distance, data and Internet services, with 79.6 million cellular services subscribers and 13 million paging subscribers.
Bright Oceans Inter Telecommunications, a Chinese telecom solutions systems integrator, provided hardware support and environment configuration.
