CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J.-Wireless Internet users worldwide will reach nearly 600 million by 2008, according to a new report from Probe Group.
The growth will be driven by an expanded number of carrier-offered services, according to the report. “As handsets become more affordable, carriers will become more aggressive in their marketing, including service pricing,” said Alan Mosher, Probe Group’s research director.
“We expect steady growth in the wireless Internet market, rather than dramatic bursts of activity,” added Mosher.
