ESPOO, Finland-Nokia Corp. said it has launched an open-source programming language for its Series 60-based handsets.
Known as Python, it is available for the open-source developer community for free downloads via Forum Nokia’s Web site at www.forum.nokia.com/python, said Nokia.
“Python will make mobile application development easy and accessible to programmers seeking a fast and developer-friendly avenue to writing mobile applications,” said Lee Epting, vice president of Forum Nokia.
