BRISBANE, Calif.-Devicescape Software announced its new Devicescape Secure Wireless Client 1.0 product, which the company said is an embedded software package designed to help manufacturers bring next-generation Wi-Fi devices to market more quickly.
The software is aimed at converged mobile handsets, digital cameras, digital televisions, gaming consoles, printers and LCD projectors.
The product features Wi-Fi security, including WPA/WPA2 personal and enterprise technology; off-the-shelf integration with Windows CE 5.0, Windows Mobile 5.0 and Linux operating systems; and inclusion in the Wi-Fi Alliance test bed.
The SWC comes with pre-validated support for Wi-Fi chipsets from Atheros, Broadcom and Marvell.
