SHANGHAI, China – RCR Wireless News caught up with Mikko Hietanen, head of BSS/OSS sales at Nokia Siemens Networks at last week’s Mobile Broadband China.
During his presentation on stage, Hietanen said the most pressing business goals among operators surveyed by NSN are subscriber experience and reducing operating expenditures. Carriers were asked to look ahead through 2012 and the majority listed subscriber experience as their main objective, but reducing costs came second in line.
Hietanen said mobile broadband is an example of the public pushing the industry to undergo significant transformation projects. We caught up with him on camera after his presentation and asked him about the importance of the Chinese market and where Nokia Siemens Networks can help operators meet these goals.
