Partnership will deliver Ethernet synchronization technologies to address carrier bandwidth demands
MIAMI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sunrise Telecom (Pink Sheets: SRTI) and Calnex Solutions announced at this week’s Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Quarterly meeting that they will partner to sell and support Calnex’s Paragon family of test solutions in Latin America. As both companies actively contribute to the MEF, this was the ideal occasion to announce news of the partnership. As part of the agreement, Sunrise Telecom will serve as a channel partner to market, sell and support Calnex Solutions to customers in Latin America. The company carries a strong, established presence in Latin America, which will help Calnex Solutions extend its market reach in the region.
The partnership will also provide a powerful test solution for Ethernet synchronization technologies, such as IEEE 1588v2, Synchronous Ethernet, as well as Ethernet operations administration and maintenance (OAM) standards like ITU-T Y.1731, all of which are seeing significant growth in the Latin America region.
As telecommunications carriers continue to face pressure to provide more bandwidth, there is increased demand to ensure proper backhaul network synchronization. The Calnex Paragon family of test solutions addresses these potential issues by providing independently proven packet-transport products that not only meet industry standards, but also reliably work under real-world conditions.
