Anite‘s test solutions for 2G, 3G and LTE conformance and interoperability testing will be used in CanvasM Technologies’ new test lab in New Jersey. CanvasM is a subsidiary of India-based Tech Mahindra, and has been working with Anite for more than three years in the lead-up to the company’s selection as the preferred testing supplier for its new laboratory.
The new lab has been set up in response to demand for testing LTE network implementations and developing LTE devices. Anite says it is responsible for the verification of more than 80% of LTE Release-8 protocol tests. Tech Mahindra is also an Anritsu customer.
Anritsu introduced new measurement software for its MT8820C radio frequency tester, which will enable testing of mobile devices that incorporate LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation. The new option simulates inter-band and intra-band downlink FDD carrier aggregation with call processing. Anritsu said that with the new software installed, its MT8820C becomes the industry’s first single-box tester that can conduct three vital carrier aggregation measurements; the device is able to conduct 2G, 3G or LTE (FDD and TDD) tests for wireless device calibration, RF testing and functional testing with call processing or no-call testing.
Agilent Technologies announced a new gateway with additional USB capability, the Agilent E5810B LAN/GPIB/USB gateway. The new gateway allows users to connect and control, over a standard local-area network, up to 14 GPIB instruments, up to four USB instruments via a self-powered hub and an RS-232 instrument.
With an improved transfer rate, the company says the new gateway can help engineers reduce test time and improve production, as well as allowing multiple users in different locations to access a centrally located test system, which can also be connected to a wireless router for remote control of instruments from a PC. The gateway is priced at $1,165.
Agilent will be demonstrating its radio frequency circuit, system and 3-D electromagnetic simulation products at the IEEE Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference in Orlando, Fla., next week.
