ALBANY, N.Y.—IWO Holdings Inc., a Sprint PCS Network Partner, said it added 11,006 net subscribers during the second quarter, ended June 30, ending the quarter with 102,598 subscribers. Customer churn dropped from 2.73 percent during the second quarter to 2.04 percent, with average revenue per user, including roaming costs, rising from $72.68 last year to $80.40 this year.
The carrier, which operates in the Northeast, reported revenue for the quarter of $24.6 million, a 98-percent increase from the $12.4 million reported the previous year. Net losses increased from a loss of $10.2 million, or 34 cents per share, to a loss of $16.7 million, a loss of 45 cents per share, over the same time frame.
