SACRAMENTO, Calif.—MetroPCS launched its unlimited local calling service in the greater Sacramento and Stockton, Calif. areas, allowing customers to talk all they want on the MetroPCS CDMA network for $35 per month. Customers can also call anywhere in northern California from their home calling area for no additional charge. Domestic long-distance calling is available for 5 cents per minute.
The California launch follows MetroPCS’ service launch in the metro Atlanta, Athens and Gainesville, Ga., area earlier this week, and in the Miami area earlier this month.
Dallas-based MetroPCS said it plans to roll out service in the San Francisco area this summer.
