China Mobile subsidiary picks up Nokia’s PTT solution

ESPOO, Finland-Nokia Corp. announced it won a contract to provide its Push to Talk over Cellular platform to Fujian Mobile Communications, a subsidiary of China Mobile Ltd.

“The Nokia PoC service attracts new subscribers, and can help operators increase their average revenue per user,” said James Lin, vice president of networks with Nokia China.

Fujian Mobile operates in China’s Fujian province in eastern China and has more than 7.5 million mobile subscribers.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
