Chen to lead Motorola’s software group

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—Motorola Inc. said it has appointed Anson Chen as the corporate vice president of its global software group.

He will report to Padmasree Warrior, the company’s chief technology officer.

“Anson’s demonstrated excellence in software development, as well as his experience assimilating acquired technologies, will make a valuable addition to our team,” said Warrior.

Chen was most recently vice president of research and development at Juniper/NetScreen Technologies Inc.
