BUENOS AIRES, Argentina-The Argentine branch of Millicom International was transferred to local group Sociedad Comercial del Plata, which already owned 35 percent of the company. Although the amount of the transaction was not disclosed, Millicom Argentina has invested US$20 million in the operation since 1999, when it began to offer its services in the country.
