OWINGS MILLS, Md.-Aether Systems Inc. announced a partnership with Proxicom Inc. under which the two will sell end-to-end wireless e-business services, including a mobile-commerce portal.
The alliance essentially names the two companies as preferred providers for each others’ goods and services. It also establishes two research and development labs and a revenue-sharing initiative for Proxicom on sales of Aether’s data services and licensing of Aether software.
The portal is designed to provide consumers access to financial resources, transaction capabilities with name-brand retailers and make electronic payments from wireless devices.
