INDIANAPOLIS-Brightpoint Inc. reported $469.8 million in revenues for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, a slight increase from the $445.8 million reported for third-quarter 1998.
The company had net earnings of $2.8 million, or 5 cents per share, down considerably from last year’s third-quarter earnings of $9.4 million, or 18 cents per share.
Brightpoint announced a major restructuring plan June 30, and said it is eliminating certain operations in Argentina, Poland, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. The company also terminated two joint operations in China.
