SOPHIA-ANTIPOLIS, France-VLSI Technology Inc. said it and debis Systemhaus of Germany
have jointly ported Global System for Mobile communications stack software to VLSI’s OneC GSM single-chip
solution.
“With the debis stack, VLSI now offers a complete baseband solution which enables handset
manufacturers to bring product to market rapidly and with low risk,” said Andreas Malzach, senior marketing
manager, cellular products, VLSI Communications Products Group.
The software is available with the OneC and
already has obtained GSM phase 2 type approval, said VLSI.
