NOKIA PACT TO OFFER VALUE-ADD SERVICES

ESPOO, Finland-Nokia Tele-communications and Computer Sciences Corp. formed an alliance to offer value-added services to Nokia’s infrastructure clients, including mobile and fixed wireless carriers, announced Nokia.

The companies intend to provide carriers a one-stop shop for value-added services and equipment. Nokia said the sophistication of today’s telecom services requires tight integration of an operator’s networks and its service and business management support systems.

Nokia said the companies’ solution will allow service providers to launch new value-added services rapidly.

“CSC is a world-class IT services company with a wealth of experience in large-scale systems integration and the application and implementation of technology for business advantage,” stated Mikko Heikkonen, president, Network Systems for Nokia.

U.S.-based CSC offers management consulting; research and advisory services; systems integration; and outsourcing.
