CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J.-Omnipoint Communications Inc. will begin providing travel information to its customers, according to a contract with Official Airline Guide, a division of Reed Travel Group.
Users that subscribe to the FlightCall service dial *OAG to access information about flights at 18 of the busiest airports in the United States, Omnipoint said. Customers enter the flight number to find out about delays and gate information.
The information is updated every 10 minutes and is available 24 hours a day.
“Our partnership with OAG is a boon to customers that travel frequently,” said George Schmitt, president of Omnipoint Communications. “It also is an important service for businesses that cater to travelers, such as limousine companies and travel agents.”
