PCIA TO SPONSOR MEETING TO ADDRESS PARTITIONING ORDER

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-The Personal Communications Industry Association is holding a conference April 28 and 29 in Washington to address the strategic, financial and operational effects of the Federal Communications Commission’s Partitioning and Disaggregation Order.

The order permits personal communications services licensees to divide their territories geographically or by spectrum block and sell portions of their spectrum to third parties, said Washington, D.C.-based PCIA.

Rosalind Allen, deputy chief of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, will be the keynote speaker. Allen will outline the commission’s goals and objectives of the recent ruling.

PCIA is a trade organization that lobbies on behalf of wireless telecom companies.
