TROY, Mich.-General Motors’ OnStar subsidiary selected ZK Celltest, a wireless network measurement and monitoring solutions company, to monitor performance of wireless networks in the United States and Canada.
ZK Celltest is installing automated drive test sets in vehicles that drive more than 6 million miles per year in the United States and Canada. The vehicles will generate test calls automatically, log performance data and geographic location information and relay the data to a central server. The information will then be post processed with reports and maps for OnStar, which will advise wireless carriers about problem areas, said the company.
